The Cradle of Aviation Museum is celebrating International Astronomy Day on Saturday, May 11th, 2024

The Amateur Observer’s Society (AOS) will help us celebrate International Astronomy Day with solar scopes (weather permitting), talks, and demos!

Build Your Own Telescope & Explore Light! Join Adelphi University's Physics Dept. for hands-on experiments in fundamental optics and spectroscopy (how light relates to astronomy)

Astronomy and Telescopes - 12-4 pm, Free with museum admission
Thinking of getting a telescope? Ask the experts! AOS will answer any questions you have about star gazing on Long Island.

Saturday Space Labs 12 pm and 2 pm, Free with museum admission
Saturday Space Labs are live interactive shows in the Catholic Health Sky Theater Planetarium. Each session features two unique 20-minute programs from local astronomers.
