F-14 50th Anniversary Dinner

Friday, April 29th, Reunion at 4:00 pm, Dinner at 6:00 pm

Reunion and Dinner - Friday, April 29, 2022

On December 21, 1970, the first F-14A Tomcat took off from the Grumman airstrip at Calverton at 4:08 pm. The flight did not last long due to poor weather conditions but those at Calverton got to witness the first takeoff of the greatest fighter plane ever built. Designed, built, and flown on Long Island, the Tomcat was to become an important part of Long Island’s aviation heritage.

The Reunion will take place at 4 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner. Guests will have full access to the museum and be able to see our F-14 #3 in Hangar 2. The keynote speaker will be TopGun F-14 pilot and Space Shuttle Astronaut Hoot Gibson. We’re delighted to announce the F-14 Tomcat Association will be holding their reunion in conjunction with this dinner and they will be joining us for the reunion and dinner. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate the F-14 Tomcat and those who worked on it and those who flew it.

The cost of the dinner is $150. A discounted price will be offered to former Grumman and Northrop Grumman workers, retirees, and F-14 Association members. The cost includes beer, wine, and soda. A cash bar will be available for mixed drinks.

Covid Protocol: Masks are recommended.
