Garden City, NY – October 2, 2026 – Long Island Manufacturing Month kicked off today at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, bringing together local manufacturers, educators, and students to highlight what is being made right here on Long Island and the career opportunities available to the next generation.
Today was only the beginning.
Throughout October, students and educators will have opportunities to connect directly with Long Island manufacturers, visit local facilities, and get a firsthand look at the technology, equipment, and people behind the region’s manufacturing industry.
At today’s event, Long Island manufacturers displayed products, components, and technology and spoke with students and educators about the work being done here and the range of careers available in the industry.

• Industry Visits: Throughout the month, students and educators will visit participating Long Island manufacturing companies for a firsthand look at their processes, technology, equipment, and the people behind Long Island manufacturing.
