Up, Up, and Away! Join us in celebrating the 110th Anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight! Hear about the design of Orville and Wilbur Wright’s Wright Flyer, the inspirations and obstacles of their airplane, and even learn how many attempts it took to soar into the clouds! Then construct and color a magnetic Wright Flyer for your fridge! Once your aircraft is ready for take-off, practice your flying agility and landing skills on our target runway!
Activities held from 12:00-4:00 PM, free with museum admission.

The Long Island Garden Railway Society will also be at the museum for the winter break with their annual G scale model train display.

On Saturday, December 28th from 12:00-1:00 PM we will have our first Saturday Space Lab! Using the Jet Blue Sky Theater Planetarium we will look more at light; the different kinds, when we want it and when it actually makes it harder to see things! The Visible Light Saturday Space Lab will end with a project you can take home.
