Cradle of Aviation Museum Hosts 2nd Annual Legislative Breakfast

Attendees at the Cradle of Aviation Museum’s 2nd Annual Legislative Breakfast in Garden City, NY, including Long Island officials, educators, and business leaders, gathered to discuss workforce development, STEM education, and the future of aerospace.

The Cradle of Aviation Museum hosted its 2nd Annual Legislative Breakfast on Friday, April 24, 2026, welcoming government officials, business leaders, and education partners from across Long Island.

The event focused on workforce development and the future of aerospace, with discussion centered on the growing role of artificial intelligence, the evolving needs of the manufacturing workforce, and the importance of hands-on STEM education in preparing students for future careers.

The Museum also shared updates on its America 250 Celebration—Exploring America’s Air & Space Story—From Early Flight to the Future—highlighting the people, places, and innovations that have shaped American aviation and aerospace, with Long Island at the center of that story.

The morning reinforced the importance of collaboration across sectors to support education, heritage preservation, and regional growth.

Regional leaders in attendance included representatives from New York State, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and local municipalities, as well as school district leadership and workforce development partners.

The panel discussion, moderated by Michael Stromer of Brooklyn Digital Ventures, featured regional education and workforce leaders and focused on how AI, manufacturing, and hands-on STEM programs are shaping real pathways forward for students.

The Museum also acknowledges its Board Leadership, including Anne S. Moore, President, for their continued guidance and support. The Museum continues to serve as Long Island’s Air & Space Museum, connecting the region’s past achievements to future opportunities through education, exhibitions, and community partnerships.
