Once they’ve learned about our lunar neighbor in our new exhib it\, Space: A Journey to Our Future\, young visitors to the museum will ha ve the chance to experiment with perspective and create their own “Earthri se” at the Family Activity Station in the Atrium.\n\nNext to the Family Ac tivity Station in the Atrium\, you can catch 'Earthrise'\, a new 30 min do cumentary film that is playing on a loop in our little theater. Earthrise tells the story of the first image captured of the Earth from space in 196 8. Told solely by the Apollo 8 astronauts\, the film recounts their experi ences and memories and explores the beauty\, awe\, and grandeur of the Ear th against the blackness of space. This iconic image had a powerful impact on the astronauts and the world\, offering a perspective that transcended national\, political\, and religious boundaries.
