Space Camp: Out of this World Explorers

Monday-Friday, July 11-15, 9:30am-3:00pm

Cradle of Aviation STEM & Space Summer Camp 2016

In these five-day mini-camps, led by experienced museum educators, campers will explore, interact, experiment and create. Sign up for one or more weeks of fun this summer at Long Island’s most unique and interesting camp!

Space Camp: Out of this World Explorers
Campers will learn all about the wonders of outer-space, from planets and stars to space exploration and even rocket building! After campers learn about the reality of space science, they will compare it to their favorite sci-fi movies (Star Wars, ET, Wall-E, etc.) to determine fact from fiction. Hands-on activities include, solid rocket making, building a telescope, and participating in the Astronaut Challenge!

Monday-Friday, July 11-15
9:30AM-3:00PM, ages 9-12
Campers should bring a bag lunch.
Members: $350/week • Non-Members: $400/week

And week two:

Messy Camp: Things that Boom, Fizz, and Pop!
In this week, campers will learn how all types of science can be fun, and more importantly, messy! Campers will be introduced to different fields of science like chemistry, biology, and physics with experiments that can get a bit…messy. Hands-on activities include, creating toothpaste fit for an elephant, exploring the guts of a zombie, and using a variety of mixtures that go boom, fizz, or pop!
