The mission of the Cradle of Aviation Museum is twofold: to engage all ages in the exploration of our aerospace heritage by preserving and displaying Long Island’s contribution to air and space travel; and to inspire, motivate, and stimulate our youth to be the next generation of aerospace scientists and engineers. We achieve our mission through our growing exhibit collection and our ever expanding educational programs.

Join us at the Cradle of Aviation for STEM HUB Professional Development Day hosted in partnership with Northwell Health.
STEM HUB PD Day is an exciting opportunity, open to all educators across Long Island, which aims to integrate STEM into course curriculum. Experienced museum educators from the Cradle of Aviation Museum and representatives from Northwell Health will focus on the growing fields of healthcare and aerospace. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact, explore, and experiment in each workshop session. At the end of the day, walk away with tangible lesson plans for your classroom.
Keynote Speaker
Dr. Theo Zanos is an assistant professor in the Institute of Bioelectronic Medicine at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. His work uses computers and artificial intelligence to decode the signals between the brain and the body. The goal is to use signals from the body to treat illness and disease.
