nction with Northwell Health all about biotech! Biotechnology is\, “techno
logy based on biology to develop technologies and products that help impro
ve our lives and the health of our planet.” (Greenwood\, 2016)\n\nBiotech
day is an exciting opportunity\, open to all educators across Long Island
\, which aims to integrate academic curriculum with biotechnology. Present
ers will focus on the growing field of biotechnology\, technology in medic
ine\, and how certain technological innovations can assist in the medical
field.\n\nTo celebrate biotech and its real world applications\, the museu
m is honored to host Todd Goldstein PhD\, Researcher at Northwell Health’s
Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. He is a local Long Islander who
graduated from the Wheatley High School\, Adelphi University\, and the Ho
fstra-Northwell School of Medicine. He will be on hand to discuss the use
of both 3D printing in clinic and 3D bioprinting as a tool for tissue engi
neered patient specific solutions. Dr. Goldstein is an instructor in the D
epartment of Orthopedic Research and Bioelectronic Medicine. His work on 3
D technologies has been featured locally nationally\, and internationally.
