MagLev Competition

Monday, March 26, 2018
9:00 am1:30 pm

For Middle School Students.

Traffic is the worst! Many experts believe the best way to solve this problem is to design a new transportation system. One approach is to develop “Maglev” vehicles which float over a fixed track, supported (levitated) and driven by magnetic fields.

Students will design and create magnetic levitation vehicles to compete in one of five categories using math, science, and technology principles to optimize the design of a MagLev vehicle. Final scores will be determined based on category and calculations made by our panel of judges.

The MagLev Contest was established by Brookhaven National Laboratories and the Cradle is excited to continue their venture in this field of engineering science.

To book, please call Reservations at 516-572-4066, Monday through Friday from 10am to 4pm.
