Geomagnetic Storms and Auroras
Did you know the Sun is invading Earth? Right now it is sending an army of billions; these charged particles are blasted to Earth through a solar wind stream attacking our magnetosphere, also known as Earth’s force field. Join us to find out about the direct electrical connection between the Sun and Earth, learn about geomagnetic storms, and see the dangerous but beautiful light shows they create! This Space Lab was researched by Lani Chau, a Physics Major at Adelphi University.
