Assemblyman Tom Alfano sends 667 fifth graders for a field trip to the Cradle

On May 13th Assemblyman Tom Alfano came to see how the students from Elmont School District were enjoying themselves at the Cradle of Aviation.  Assemblyman Alfano’s effort to provide the funding to send 667 fifth graders for a field trip was a huge success.  The students had fun while learning about Long Island’s aerospace heritage and even went on a simulated Mission to Mars.  Assemblyman Alfano’s message to the youth when he spoke to them in the IMAX theater echoed his Mentor and Leaders Program- stay in school, keep reading and learn as much as you can to fulfill your dreams.  The dream to become an astronaut or an aviator can begin at the Cradle of Aviation Museum and we are grateful that Assemblyman Alfano gave them the opportunity to visit.
