Join us at the Cradle of Aviation for a comprehensive professional development hosted in conjunction with Northwell Health all about biotech! Biotechnology is, “technology based on biology to develop technologies and products that help improve our lives and the health of our planet.” (Greenwood, 2016)

Biotech day is an exciting opportunity, open to all educators across Long Island, which aims to integrate academic curriculum with biotechnology. Presenters will focus on the growing field of biotechnology, technology in medicine, and how certain technological innovations can assist in the medical field.

To celebrate biotech and its real world applications, the museum is honored to host Todd Goldstein PhD, Researcher at Northwell Health’s Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. He is a local Long Islander who graduated from the Wheatley High School, Adelphi University, and the Hofstra-Northwell School of Medicine. He will be on hand to discuss the use of both 3D printing in clinic and 3D bioprinting as a tool for tissue engineered patient specific solutions. Dr. Goldstein is an instructor in the Department of Orthopedic Research and Bioelectronic Medicine. His work on 3D technologies has been featured locally nationally, and internationally.
